iTunes Match corrupting my library, skipping tracks or simply not playing them!

I posted this over at Apple's community forum but got nothing back, will try out their support line sometime during week but thought I'd see if anyone else here has had problems with iTunes and iTunes Match messing up playback of some songs...

I am having more and more issues with my iTunes library, and iTunes Match.



Basically when adding new tracks, and allowing iTunes Match to match or upload them, it's resulting in tracks either skipping before they end (same results on iPhone and now HomePod), or simply refusing to play them.



I took one track (3:15 seconds) and converted it to AAC, that track is now displaying 2:27 seconds which is the point in which it skips?



All of this is filtering through to my iPhone etc, same thing, skipping to next track before it ends.



If I delete and redownload, it results in the same skipping no matter what.



I created a playlist simply for the none-playing, but upon opening them in a program like VLC, it'll play just fine...but refuses to in iTunes?



What the **** is going on? I'm afraid of adding new tracks, cos' it only seems to be getting worse!
