itunes media folder location keeps changing

Hi all bit of a funny one, not really sure where to post this as it involves itunes, on a pc, after fitting a hew hdd.

Anyway I have just fitted a new 3tb hdd which is all fine, and I have moved my itunes media folder over and deleted it from my original c drive as I have hundreds of gbs of tv shows etc. Its all fine and the tv shows all launch from my new drive, and I set the media folder location in itunes to my new drive. However every time I start up my pc and check on itunes the folder location reverts back to the original c drive.

Likewise whenever I download something new itunes creates a new media folder on my c drive and stores it there. I then have to move it over myself. Its not really a problem as I can move the files but its a bit annoying. wondering if there is a solution.

In preferences/you'll need to turn "keep iTunes folder organised" off. That'll stop it moving. Just incase you were wondering, the best way to migrate iTunes is to copy the whole iTunes folder to another location, open iTunes holding alt, and select your copied itl (library).
