Hey,
I just moved the contents of the standard Windows "My Music" directory to a new custom "Music" folder on a different drive whcih has more free space and is where I want my Music from now on. I moved everything so instead of it being at:

C:\Users\Neil\Music

All those files are now at:

D:\Files\Music

It's great but I opened iTunes and went to Preferences>Advanced and altered the path of the iTunes/iTunes Media folder to it's new location but it's not picking up any of my files, songs, videos, podcasts, apps or playlists.

I have noticed that it is recreating the iTunes directory in:

C:\Users\Neil\Music

How can I tell iTunes to use the "iTunes" folder that I have put at the new location?

Thanks

Regards,
Neil

UPDATE:

This issue is fixed.

I had to hold shift down whilst opening iTunes to allow me to point it to the library. I also (due to the fact that I store all my music outside of the iTunes folder and DO NOT let iTunes organise the filing part_ had to delete all the music from iTunes and reimport it all but I have done it now and it's all back to normal!

YAY.

Yes, I have to agree, I hate iTunes, especially if you let it organise all your music and media for you.

I immediately disable those functions and have all my media organised manually how I want it and then use iTunes to play it and filter the songs and albums and create playlists and so on. It then also syncs nicely to an iPod or my iPhone.
