itunes on vista 64bit not working :(

i upgraded to vista 64 bit (as now have 4gb memory) but i installed itunes 64bit and it runs but tells me it is not a 64bit version and will not work when i go to uninstall it encounters and error and cannot complete removal, i've tried to reboot between and no luck, is this a common error?

I had some problems running iTunes 64.

If you open up the setup exe file in a zip tool you will see several .msi files, one of these has a file name containing Apple and mobile, run this. (apologies about tbeing vague in the file name but it's from memory)

This sorted my problem out.

i still get errors installing for each individual msi file

Use IE7 goto apple and make sure you get the 64bit version of apples software, it has/had some issues picking up the os.

I'm running itunes on vista x64 ultimate without issue although not as smoothly as on xp.
