Hi All,

I've had my iPod for a month now and really enjoying it and itunes. I've recently purchased a few tunes off itunes and everything is fine. However I recently found a song which does not show on the itunes music store search.

When I go to the artists web site there is a itunes purchase button which takes me to the US itunes store. I can't use my uk login/password and it then redirects the the UK web site and tells me the song is not found.

So can I setup multiple Itunes accounts or are you limited to the UK store only? If you can do multiple accounts can you reconfigure itunes to look at a different store?

Cheers

There is a reason you cannot access iTunes in the US - because the tracks would be a lot cheaper.
Lower general price and with the exchange rate as low as it is right now...

I can't really think of a way around the issue without contacting iTunes UK and asking them why they don't have the track available for download.

My guess is it's due to licencing issues - you can blame the BPI and the like for that m they don't like the idea of someone in the U.K. getting a song from the U.S. as it means they don't get their cut of the money (it doesn't matter to them that the artist still gets a cut...):(

I know that to make use of the Japanese Itunes store you need a credit card registered in Japan (it's a subject i've seen several times on anime related forums).

Its all of the above, plus the fact that there is often a time difference in tracks being released over here, hence the record companies dont want you downloading it until they can flood the market and get a cheesy number 1 spot.
