Got a new work van which has a MP3/WMA/CD head unit.

Now I have over 10Gb of Music from iTunes, imported from CD or brought from the iTunes store. Now I've noticed that all of my tracks in the library are m4a's. Can I convert these to MP3s to put on a data CD so the head unit will play it. what about DRM?

Cheers ;)

Go to preferences and under ripping select your music to be encoded in the MP3 format at your desired bit rate. Now select every track in your library (ctrl + a under all tracks), right click and then click convert. Should do it for you though there is probably a program on the web to do this.

Alternatively, after thinking about it, I think you can select to burn a data cd or mp3 cd under burning options in preferences. It won't burn protected content onto a data cd though.

Great, thanks for that.

Shame about the protected music. I have hundreds and hundreds which I've brought from iTunes...
