Okay, now that I have an iphone and my other half has an ipod, is there any way to set up iTunes so that it keeps my selected music seperate from hers?

I hate having to go in and check all of my stuff that I want to sync, and she hates it too. Surely there's an easier way to do this?

Easy. In the main music list check everything.

Make two playlists, call them what you like but make it obvious which is which.

Then you each choose what tunes you want on your own devices, right click and add to the appropriate playlist.

Then plug the device in and once it's talking, go to the music tab for the device.

Tell it to sync music, but below that go for 'selected playlists' and only select the appropriate playlist for each device. Make sure 'Music' isn't selected.

On the summary tab have it set to sync only checked songs and videos.

That's how I do it and I have two devices sync'd from my iTunes.

Aah, that sounds like just what I need, thanks a lot. Will give it a try now.

Edit: yes that was just what I was looking for, thanks :)
