1) I have 60GB music, need to fill up 20GB iPOD, how can i let itunes randomly pick what 20GB to transfer?

2) Some songs in my library have a '!' on the left of them, meaning they 'cant be found' when trying to play them, is there a quick way to delete all the songs in the library that have the '!' next to them?

Thanks

1. Create a smart playlist ctrl+alt+n that limits to 20gb's of music and so that it changes each time you listen to stuff add a rule "last played is not in the last 1 days", that should mean it keeps changing the playlist to something fresh

Then on the ipod menu, select the music tab and untick "sync all music", then select "selected playlists" and just select the smart playlist you created.

That will put on a random selection of 20gb's each time you connect, but remember it will probably take a long time to sync each time so it would be better to select the 20gb you like to listen to most if you dont want to be forever syncing. i.e. by doing as post above^^

2. Probably best to nuke the entire library (dont actually delete you music!!) and let itunes find everything again by adding your music folder to the library
