iTunes Random play

Does anyone find the random/shuffle play back really bad?

I'm constantly listening to music I listened to yesterday, when I open iTunes I just double click on the ''All''. I have 3251 so shuffling them shouldn't be a problem, surely?

Anyone suffer from this?

I don't think the shuffle isn't as random as you think.

IIRC, it plays the lowest play count songs more etc.

Only problem i have with it is; When i add a new album to the playlist, it has to have gone through all of that album until it will actually shuffle, and not just play the next song in that particular album.

iTunes is pretty poor at most music managment and jukebox type things - what it does really well is integrate an online music store with your jukebox. Get Foobar or Winamp and be happy.

I noticed it isn't random. play one song (chose it) and put shuffle on. wait for song to finish and make note of the song it goes to on shuffle. Play the first song again and it plays the same "shuffled" song. :/
