OK I've purchased from the itunes store two "ring tone packs" but these are classed as music in my itunes library.

1 I've bought is called "6 business ringtones" and it's 1 file, 20 seconds in duration with a a silent gap between each of the tones.

How can I get these as ringtones for use on the phone, am I being dumb?

Just drag them into the 'ringtone' section just underneath where your Iphone section is on the left.

Ive never bought a ringtone from Itunes, I normally just make them my self.

That doesn't work I'm afraid, it seemed like the obvious answer so I tried that first of all.

It's like I need to split the ringtones out of the single file, very strange that apple include these in the itunes store but no instruction on how to use them!?

The only other way I can think of, is for your to manually convert it into a ringtone, which kinda defeats the purpose of you buying it in the first place...
