Itunes skipping at 13 seconds

Itunes has started skipping at 13 seconds of every song I play. It only skips for a couple of seconds and then is fine.

I had this problem before and fixed it by doing a reformat but I don't want to do that this time.

Reinstall Itunes with a fresh copy.

i cant stand itunes

but yeh try and reinstall...or do a system restore to a previous date before the problem started..

Try uninstalling quicktime and reinstall with latest version. Quicktime seems to cause a lot of problems with tracks skipping.

This doesn't sound like your problem but mine skips at the start of a track if it downloads new album art work

Yup, tends to do that when writing new ID3 tags. I too had the OP's problem, but at around 9-11 seconds I would hear the skip, and my whole pc would lock up during the skip too.

It went away fro a few days after installing Vista, but then it came back with vengeance.

Weirdly, thed OS X version seems to be much better, no ID3 tag writing slowdown, and only slight slowdowns when finding song volume and gapless playback.
