Hey guys,

I got into a conversation with a mate the other day, after i said i'd like to start paying for downloaded music a la iTunes instead of buying CD's. My qualm is that i want the best quality downloads i can get, rather than 192 kbps or whatever iTunes does. He told me that they offer a HQ download now, that is better than CD quality as it's derived from the album master copy.

Is this true?

I thought it was a load of rubbish when he told me personally.

I could look at iTunes, but i like to hear opinions.

Thanks :)

Edit: And if it isn't true, does a site exist where you can buy good quality bit rate music?

They do sell premium versions of a lot of songs. Most other sites (which are competitors so I can't say) sell downloadable music if they sell music cd's, dvd's, games, etc which are of a much higher quality and usually cheaper or the same price.
