iTunes sync speed - iPhone 3G

How long does it take you guys & gals to sync apps on your iPhone 3G. I have a 1.5GB app (TomTom) and it takes around 30-40 mins to sync USB 2.0 in any Window O/S environment. Is this normal?

Phone is blank, after a fresh installation of the new firmware 3.1.2.

Something isn't right there. My old 3G sometimes took a while to do the 'back up' stage when it was plugged in, a few seconds for just syncing apps thought.

Cant offer you a solution however :/

Im pretty sure thats normal, I remember it taking about 10 minutes to install CoPilot on mine which i think is around 200 odd megs
