Morning Chaps,

Myself and a collegue have been working on a very odd iTunes issue that no matter what we try we can't resolve. As a disclaimer, I hate everything about iTunes and the company that develop it but we won't go into that! :D

The system involved is running Windows 7 HP 64Bit which is running current up to date drivers and no other non-OS software.

The problem we're having is when attempting to sync a iPhone 4 with the machine. You can plug the iPod in, Click on the device in iTunes and happily sync Music, Apps & Contacts. However, the moment you click on "Photos" in the sync window, iTunes will immediatly crash.

Here is a list of things I've tried in order to solve the issue ;-

1. Reinstalled iTunes after removing previous installation data
2. Reinstalled Windows 7 3 Times on both 32 & 64Bit
3. Factory restored the iPod & Upgraded software to latest version
4. Changed the USB Cable
5. Tried alternate User accounts (This came with some success where I launched twice without a crash)
6. Re-imported all User Data to a fresh Library
7. Cleared iPod Photo cache & tried different Photos

As you can probably tell, I've spent a fair while on this and the longer I spend on it the more it seems like the device is at fault. I have spoken to Apple for several hours about this and they are useless to say the least.

Any suggestions? As far as I'm aware not many people have experienced this issue exactly so its hard to troubleshoot.

Cheers!

It sounds like you've tried everything I would have done, and some. Is there any error information in the application event log?
