I'm having a problem with itunes that it seems to take forever to start up where it previously didn't do this, no other program seems to have halted from starting up like this and I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling but to no avail :(. It also often crashed when my ipod shuffle is plugged in, should I try reformatting the shuffle and its firmware?
Using vista x64, 1.8ghz e2160 and 4gb ram btw.

Are you restarting between uninstall and reinstall? Try this but on install create a new folder like c:/program files/itunes2 (or something) - not overwright if old data still there.

Also is the ipod plugged in when you start it up? Try disconnecting it, and loading it up double click style!

yes do try a firmware fomat. Have you rgot the latest itunes as well?

-Yes I did restart during uninstall/reinstall
-Ipod is not plugged in on start up (I dont think it boots to windows since I got it if its plugged in
-Got the latest itunes, if I can get both working I'll try firmware format, but before that I'll change the usb port its plugged into =/.
