So due to me having problems recently with the internet at home i wasnt connected when i imported all the music from my cds to itunes. I now have the problem that all the info is just track 1 track 2 etc etc

i am able to get info for each track by right clicking on a singular song and then selecting 'get track name', however when i select all of the songs by ctrl+a and then by going to the advanced option and selecting 'get track name' it comes up with a error message stating wether i want to do this for multiple items.

Ignoring this I click ok and then nothing happens no uploaded track information what so ever. Is there a piece of software that i could download which will import all of the track info at once

Its really bugging me dont really fancy doing the method that ive been doing for several thousand tracks! :(

Thanks

Leon

TuneUp might work, if you manually select all tracks in the album and change the album title and artist and then drag them into TuneUp. The demo will let you know if that works and if so then it's worth splashing out the cash.

Tuneup claims to be able to do it based on audio signatures alone I think, so you shouldn't even need any album info in there.

give musicbrainz a go. it scans folders and so long as the tracks are in the right order in their own folder, it can look up albums based on number of tracks and the track length.

(i've used it on windows but have checked and there is a mac version)
