ITunes update fails

Don't do it.

Had to uninstall and then reinstall EVERYTHING Apple-related,

seems somewhat of a common problem unfortunatley.
At times the apple mobile support doodah fails to remove.

just delete all apple folders from

Program Files
Program Files x86
AppData

reboot and retry installing itunes

Deleted them via add/remove progs in the order recommended on Apple forum. From the number of hits seems to be a particular issue for this weeks update - luckily the process didn't lose track of all of my music CDs.

Update failed on my laptop and two netbooks in this house.

Had to remove all and reinstall on mine. Girlfriends netbook took loads of effort to uninstall everything, had to download a tool to help uninstall apple mobile device thingy.

Had the same thing happen to me a couple of weeks back, then nothing would load up. Tried a restore, but no dice.

Had to go through and manually uninstall a load of Apple programs in order, then re-install from scratch. Luckily it kept all my library settings.
