Itunes will not eject CD after creation

I have been burnung some music to CD from iTunes (9.0.2) and it refuses to eject the CD after it creates it.
Windows Explorer also fails with 'an error occured while ejecting audio cd'.

Rebooting fixes it but it happens each time I do another disk.

I assume itunes locks the drive in some way but cannot figure out how to 'release' it again!
Don't really want to reboot evert time.
I am using Windows 7 Pro.

Not sure if this is the answer you're looking for, but...

The first thing I would do is backup all your music etc and uninstall iTunes. Try installing again and see if the problem has been solved? Maybe somebody else will be able to give you a little more help, but that would be my first step anyway.

Just out of curiosity, have you tried burning an audio disc in media player? Does this give the same problem or not?

Thanks. I will try this but it was a fresh install.
Got round it for now by using Media Monkey which I am sure I will be told is better anyway
