Itunes wont install..any alternatives?

The wife just got a nano but unable to install itunes keep giving errors. Is there any alternative I can use?

ive just this second updated winamp and its says it supports ipods now , worth a look

Aye go for the newest version of winamp, or if you have an older version there is a plugin that can be downloaded for using the software with and ipod.

Works a treat and i don't have to install smelly itunes

For some reason winamp doesn't like my computer, if I have it installed then all sound stops working for any video file I use.

Itunes appears to install ok but right at the end I get an error saying "itunes has encounterd a problem & needs to close" when you click on more info I get "AppName: itunes.exe AppVer: 6.0.3.5 ModName: unknown
ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 10001040" .

Hi paul8811, have you tried redownloading iTunes? You may have a corrupt installer. Get the latest iTunes at www.itunes.com

yep Scythe tried a few times also same error from the CD the nano came with.

Try downloading the standalone version of Quicktime 7 from here: www.apple.com/quicktime/download/standalone.html
This should get rid of the error message.
