Itunes wont start

Installed itunes recently, but whenever i click on the icon (egg timer comes up) but nothing actually happens. Its in the process list in task manager after clicking shortcut. Any ideas?

Weird - 5 mins later it just appears, 5 min loading time

Perhaps troubleshoot the optical drives?

I don't know if iTunes uses its own 'drivers' for cd-burning - perhaps that is conflicting with one of your cd/dvd drives.
