Hi Guys

I have a friend running Windows XP and she has just lost all of her data as her hard drive got damaged. She has an iPod and wants to get the music off of her iPod back onto her computer, but she doesn't want to loose the music.

Can this be done? I don't know this as I do not have iPod.

Thanks in advance!

Theres loads of iPod ripping apps. Just do a google if the one metioned above doesnt suit your needs. :).

the fact you can't drag & drop is retarded

my mac owning mate was amazed when i held copied music & data to my iaudio :p

I agree with that!!

No its not.
I agree, taking music off is very hard to do.
But as for putting it on, it is easyier to just plug in and have it auto-sync your latest/most listened to stuff.

I can see what you are saying here, but it would be nice to have the option to either sync or drag and drop.

lol.
Without wanting to sound like a stuck record, i can see what your saying there, and agree. :p
But equally, the iPod/iTunes combo has been designed for ease of use for playing and syncing music. In that respect, it has no equal.
Plug it in and it does everything for you. Easy, no thought required. Ace for people who are either lazy or dont have the time to faff.

What would be most ideal was that if acted like it did now, but all the music was plonked, ordered by artist/album in a folder on the iPod where the music could be ripped out at will. And added to, with iTunes on the next sync, organising the manually added stuff into the proper folders.
But alas, i cant see that happening. :(.
