Hello,
Over the last few days I have been organsing my music collection so they are all tagged correctly and each album has it's own correct artwork and they are all nicely organised how I want them.

Now, I installed a fresh installation of iTunes and changed a couple of the options:

Let iTunes organise my music: No
Copy music to iTunes music folder: No

I then added my new "Organised Music" folder to the library and all my tracks and albums show up correctly just as I want them too. Now, I closed iTunes and altered some files and deleted some folders and added some new folders and when I opened iTunes, nothing had changed. It still was showing all the deleted songs, not showing added ones and no changes. It wouldn;t let me play the deleted tracks obviously as it couldn;t locate them

Is there a way to tell iTunes to refresh the folders I ahve selected for use in the Music Library?

Thanks

Regards,
Neil

iTunes doesnt monitor the folder for updates. You have to manually add new music/remove deleted music from your iTunes library.

I realise it doesn;t monitor it for updates. What I am asking is is there a way to tell iTunes to refresh the folder rather than having to delete everything from the library and then readd the folder?
