What is it with ITV and these Prize shows, such as The Mint.

They used to have sport/movies on late at night, but now they're just showing this complete tripe from about 1am onwards. It annoys me. These shows should be kept on Sky thank you very much. /rant

Can't they do something like "The Chav Channel" Channel 6 for rubbish like this?

agree completely, i get home from the pub and want to either sit down and watch some mild entertainment or maybe a film thats on...
nope, utter crap, complete garbage! and the people that phone these lines up are just as bloody dumb!

true tbh, used to be old re runs of decent shows or movies and stuff. now its crap gameshows that scam most people that ring up

i turned over the other night to itv and thaught my channels had scrambled and i was watching some crappy game show channel that they have on cable.
alas after double checking it was itv and i was very dissapointed but then again did we hounestly expect anything less.
the only ones that couldnt do that are the bbc and thats cause we pay for the channels

Rather have ITV with the tripe and have BBC that I have to pay £130 a year in stealth taxes. ITV tripe forces you “not” to watch such a useless waste of time, and grab a book, or do some much needed DIY or something creative.

Television is overrated. I only have mine as I do tend to watch DVD’s to just relax. I watch maybe two movies a week, mostly at the weekends, and watch about 2 hours of TV a week.

My gf watches a lot of television though, only reason I think I have a set, otherwise I’d sell it, and watch DVD’s on my computer, to save having to have a license.

I was going to comment on this in the OP. I mean FFS, they're so nervous, shy and stupid - it's ridiculous.

"Hello"
"Hello, anybody there?"
"Hello???"
"Hello what's your name"

"O-O-O-Osama"

"Hi Osama how are you?"
"Where you from Osama"
"What's your answer?"

"Timewarp"

"Well done £1000 pounds. How do you feel"

"Good"

I'd much rather have lower-rated films like A Walk To Remember (was on last night BBC1) than the rubbish on ITV. At least when I can't get to sleep and I'm on my own, I can just put the TV on and watch something vaguely interesting.

or, if like me, you get completely pulled into the story and end up reading it till 5am :p :)

That's why I stopped reading at night. Can't put the thing down.
I used to have problems getting to sleep when I was younger because of books.

I have never understood that school of thought. Surely if a book is interesting it will stimulate the mind?
It does for me but not in the same way as TV, helps me relax instead while TV keeps my brain too alert probably because of the visual imagery but I'm not sure.

Either way, as the OP's moaning about how he hates the TV, he obviously needs to do something else ;)

I used to love TV until a mate showed me something that rhymes with gitmorrent. I only really watch sport on it now tbh, but as I said, sometimes I like to watch random late night movies when I can't sleep; after that something else may or may not have occured.
