ITV player on ps3

So I went to use ITV Player on PS3 today and it opens up a web browser page saying ITV player is no longer available on PS3.

Anyone else getting this?

And is it working on PS4? I cannot find anything online about it. The PS3 is mostly used for Netflix, Amazon, bbc iplayer, 4od, and itv player.

I don't have Plus but I'm guessing I would need that on the PS4 (not that I want to blow that kind of money).

I'm aiming to build an ITX box but that plan may just of been given more justification....

Hoping its either just my PS3 having a funny 5mins or anyone else can shed some light.

Itv player has been replaced by ITV Hub i think its only available on mobiles/tablet/online at the moment.

I guess they wont develop it for the ps3, and I can't really blame them. Just a shame but I guess all good things come to the end of life.

ITV Player was never a proper app on any of the consoles. Which is hardly surprising as ITV are quite useless when it comes to anything online-related.
