ITViPlayer/BBC iPlayer ~ Chromecast

Hello

I have an iPad 2 and would like to get a chromecast in order to stream BBC iPlayer etc to the big TV

Is screen sharing enabled with the iPads as I know its a little different to an android device with the chromecast being a competitor to the Apple TV.

Just debating if to get one because I do have an xbox one which supports youtube/netflix but not the itv/bbc iplayers

I guess if this doesn't work I could stream iplayers from my htc instead of ipad?

Considering the Roku. Looks good, not expensive. Might consider apple TV if I still had iPhone

Most of the streaming apps should have chromecast support by now, but you might be better off getting a dedicated device like the roku (but be aware that you need to create an account with roku and provide either card or paypal details before you can use the device, but you can lock it down with a PIN number so no unauthorised payments can be taken for apps or subscriptions that go through the roku system without your authorisation).

Can't use ITV player on Chromecast as a starter, I think iPlayer is the only one you can use apart from stuff like now tv

because, like most uk devs, they're 12 million years behind development
