Hi. I am looking to build my first ever ITX PC. I want to use it solely as my main PC.

I won't be gaming on it. It needs to be very nippy but at the same time not use vast amounts of electricity.

I quite like this motherboard:

Intel® Desktop Board DG45FC

Now, what CPU would you recommend to go with it, and ram. As i said, i don't game but need a nippy PC.

I also want as small an ITX case as possible and what about a suitable PSU? Is it possible to use a Pico PSU and if so, which one?

So, is that mobo a good one (It has onboard graphics which is great for my needs)

What CPU would you recommend

What ram?

What PSU

What case? Small as possible.

I already have a good 2.5 HD.

What exactly do you plan to use this for? Web/Office/Encoding?

I would suggest either the E5200 or E8400 budget/performance requirements depending. Then any 2 - 4 Gb DDR2 SDRAM kit as you do not seem to be after performance.

Sorry I do not know how good the board is, but you are not really going to be going crazy overclocking if you are trying to make a low power rig here are you?

Good luck!

You could go pico PSU but you might as well go for something like this:

Its budget, has option for 1x5.25", 1x3.5" and 1x 2.5" drives. It looks nice and I currently use it for my home server. The 80mm case fan is noisy so I would recommend replacing it and you will likely need a low profile intel cooler so be careful height wise on that.

Other than that you are away.

Been looking at a couple of ITX boards and these 2 have been brought to my attention:

Intel DG45FC Socket

Zotac GF 9300-I-E

Which would the better of the 2? I want onboard GPU and be able to use 4gig of ram and a dual core CPU. thanks
