I've been tinkering with my little 8840HS mini pc and steamos and its pretty decent but would like a little more punch, i'm thinking of a itx system with a ryzen 9 8945hx and something like a 9060 or 9060XT, the issue I have is height i'm wanting to put it in a shelving unit that I currently have below my tv but only have about 17cm to play with on the height, no issue with width or depth so wondering if theres any itx media centre style cases out there? Or a case I could mount on its side without compromising on cooling?

TIA

Thanks for that, i'd not seen them till you mentioned them looks pretty much what i'm after, just wondering about laying it flat if it will cause issues with heat etc

I had the ridge, it comes with stands to mount horizontally. It provides decent clearance for airflow.

Your components are relatively low power so should be fine. You can also have 2 120fans in front of the gpu to provide extra intake to help.
