OCUK,

What are the downsides to using a mini ITX board? I want to downsize from this beast of an OCUK machine I have now, to something that uses less power, and takes up much less space.

Other than a reduced number of expansion slots - does the super small form factor mean it has less features, less powerful etc?

Thanks!

More likely to cut yourself installing it.

Other than that is just the expansion really.

Some of the x99 boards and others, have overclocking sockets for the CPU which, If I am correct, just supplies more power to the CPU or something like that, helping you getting a better overclock and more volts etc.

As above, ITX is a pain to build in!

1) Expansion slots, only having 1 PCIE slot.
2) depending on case and kit, heat
3) typically more expensive as you're buying same level of kit but in a smaller form
Factor
4) building can be more tricky due to less space.

That said, I've just gone from a monster X99 EATX setup to an X99 ITX. It's great!
