guys will the orginal Acer revo 3600 (atom 230 single core) handle 1080p video?
thinking about getting 1 and putting Win7 on it and using media center ;-)

the acer revo 3600 is around £150 or I could be my own

Its ION so its good for 1080p as it offloads it to the graphics processor.

are the asrocks ion 330's quiet? other option is to build my own itx htpc

been looking at more reviews of the acer revo and most say it very quiet!

another option is the Foxconn nettop box looks good any of you guys got one?

Depends on the source of the file. Flash is not offloaded to the GPU yet; so HD files from Youtube (for example) struggle as the processing is all on the CPU.

I got asrocks ion 330 and I think it is pretty quiet. It isn't dead silent but there is one fan running in this machine. If you are planning to watch HD movies on it... I suggest you should go Linux route and use xbmc.
