as of about 3 plus hours ago i brought a cube pc from bay and picked it up as it was local, now the description was very vague in the sense it said 'computer running xp' lol, but one picture showed it with sempron 2600+ 2gb ram(ddr2) and windows xp, they wasn't computer savvy so couldn't tell me nothing, but i knew it wasn't just some branded case like an hp or dell etc..

anyways they wanted £25, but they accepted my offer of £15 as a gamble and turned out to be a good gamble in one sense(minor limit founded to be annoying) as it turned out to be(never heard of case before) an Antec A r i a cube that comes with its original 300ws supply and although its very basic case its also really nice and will certainly fit what i wanted it for..

now the question....

the motherboard inside the case is an old foxconn windfast(MCP61SM2MA-ERS2H) am2 in micro atx form and although this board supports pci e x16 and the integrated geforce grapchics can me combined with dedicated gpu and regardless whatever the best cpu it supports and seems to be able to overclock, it is still an old board, so im on the look out for a better more modern board(nothing fancy or pricey and can still be ddr2) and im wondering whether to stick to micro atx form factor or go itx if one fits???

if there any real difference other than the main one being space?

I might be wrong but I don't think there are ITX AMD boards.

When compared side by side, features apart, the only difference between ITX and MATX is the size.

thanks for reply.

doesnt have to be amd, but if its only a size thing then i might aswell stick to micro like whats already in it as i know how its seated inside rather than guess work of positions of motherboard bits and heatsinks etc.

Don't M-ATX often have slightly more PCI expansion lanes?

ITX only having one and M-ATX sometimes having two?
