Well I am currently "attempting" to give up on the cigs so with the money Im saving(£50 a week:eek:) I think I may go all out and do a complete upgrade. Now I do like my gaming and I do a fair bit of converting movie files so I would be needing a decent CPU/GPU. I have just bought a BeQuit 530W PSU so I wont be needing that and I have a 24" monitor and I will be keeping my HD's, so basically Im after

CPU
GPU
Ram
Mobo
maybe a SSD

I will also be OCing aswell so keep that in mind. I have seen a lot of people say they have descided to go AMD rather than Intel due to the Price/Performance ratio. So would a top Phenom give me as good a performance as say an i5 2500k? Im looking at spending £500. Cheers

Can you list all of your current parts?

And what your uses of this PC are for?

A simpler upgrade with components more relevant to your needs may be possible.

Good luck with giving up the cigs. Does it really cost £50 a week these days?

Best thing I ever did giving up those things four years ago, although strangely I sometimes miss it.

Yip £50. I stated my uses in the first post Stulid. A man of your experience should know to read first ask later:D Well heres my current setup

E2180
8800GTX
GA-P35-DS3R
2x1gb Corsair XMS2 DDR2 800MHz (I have 3gb but my mobos 1+2 ram slots are shot)
BeQuit 530w PSU

I will be using the PC for some gaming and I like my games to look good, so something thats capable of giving me all the eye candy. I also do a fair bit of encoding movies so someting that can cope with this aswell. I will be OC'ing this PC so keep that in mind.
