Bought a BFG 8800GT OC2 a few weeks ago but sadly it crashed in games unless i under clocked it to normal GT stock settings. I decided the new GTS was the way to go for 3 reasons. 1) It will fit in my case (GTX won't), 2) It's almost as fast as a GTX and 3) It as a better cooling solution than the GT.

I've been playing with it over Christmas (mainly Crysis) and i'm very impressed I've had zero problems. In fact the Sparkle 8800GTS even comes better packaged then my previous BFG cards (I won't be buying BFG again).

The only thing left for me to do now is RMA it. I bought it from OcUK but i'm thinking it would be better to go through BFG, only problem is i can't find a link on the website that lets me get a RMA number. Also is there a BFG UK?

Can anyone help, please?

Give overclockers a call, they RMA stuff for you if its a recent purchase. Well they did for me with some g skill ram. :)

BFG UK (Partners)

Address:
UNIT 5, RIVERSIDE PARK
BEDWAS HOUSE INDUSTRIAL ESTATE
CAERPHILLY
County: Caerphilly
Postcode: CF83 8XL
Country: United Kingdom

Phone: 02920 849222
Fax: 02920 866366

Or you can return it to OCuK within 28 days of purchase

You need to go via technical support on BFG website and they will issue you a RMA number or alternatively you can phone their US number http://www.bfgtech.com/faqs.aspx and the call center will issue a RMA number.

Thanks CyZMyAssBaby

I'm hoping that if i return it to BFG i will stand a better chance of getting a revised with the bigger fan version and it will also be a quicker turn around. In an ideal world i would return it to OcUK for a refund as i'm only going to sell it when i get it back but i've had it longer than 7 days.

Is there any advantage to returning it to OcUK?

YES there is, give to OCUK for a full refund, what do you want a RMA replacement from BFG for ?.

You stated you wont us them again (I have never rated them) and you have a new better card anyhow.

What good 2 cards to you?.

I don't think you can get a refund unless its within 7 days of purchase so i want it replaced so i can sell it. Or i may even decide to replace the 320MB GTS in my HTPC instead. But i will still need a functioning card either way :)

BFG's are crap, been dropping like flies, fan spinning full on with black screens, not running at stated OC speeds so have to be downclocked, id stay away from em, hopefully your replacement works so you can flog it.

Yes you can, its faulty, you aint using the DSA so over 7 days is fine and no issue for upto 28 days.

The BFG turn around is normally 3-5 Days

And what does it matter if BFG can turn around in even 1 day, he need a cash refund not a new card now.

The 7 days applies of you having the choice to give it back because you just don't want it. The fact that you've bought a Pre overclocked card that only works without crashing when you underclock it means there is a fault.

EDIT: appears i posted it too late :P

That's interesting.

So if i returned it to OcUK and said i want a cash refund as I've had to buy another card elsewhere they would be ok with this? I paid the premium price of around £210, I thought they would just send me a replacement card slower than BFG would.
