I did some upgrades to my system lately and noticed i now have some issues, firstly i installed new nv 2tb drive so had to reinstall everything, also a CPU swap, swapped out my 5800x for a 5700x3d as i primarily use for a bit of gaming, now upon using i got my first windows 11 BSOD, not good never had 1 in last two years, it was while i was playing cod 6, looked at amd drivers, checked out and thought do a uninstall, used the utility which suggested safe mode, hit restart to safe mode and got locked out of windows eleven because pin wouldn't enter and couldn't get past it so did another fresh install.
install all drivers and redownload cod which isn't fun, notice some weirdness going on, forza complaining no drivers installed, cod played ok but not as good as old system.
downloaded gpu z tonight to find it wasn't picking up clock speeds or memory and reports running pcie 3 in my pcie 4 board, so re do amd drivers again and now have clock speeds and memory back but still pcie 3, never had this in my older setup, anything i can do?

Is your heatsink/cooler bolted down too tight?
That can cause some issues with memory etc. If you do check that, double check the CPU is seated properly as well.

thats a good shout actually, this 5700x3d seems hot, lowest i see is in the 40s idling and did wonder if something i did wrong but have reseated it and applied thermal paste twice now to no help

I got it back to pcie16x 4.0, seems this install didn't like my riser cable anymore, took that away and its now reported correctly
