ive gone for this build ? £250

i have the same board trust me it will work fine especially if you are upgrading to an ivybridge later

yes I read good reviews and has much more ports on the back that did it for me.
The other deciding factor was the m-sata, which i can see being handy
The overclocking seems much more simple compared to MSI if i ever decide to overclock

yeah overclocking wil be very easy on that board, when you get a 3770k it comes with intel turbo technology so you can overclock it with intels own technology to 3.9 from 3.5 and then more if you wish although to overclock you might need a bigger psu

hmm..... is there really any need for another 20 quid on a mobo the 89 quid one should do the job

That depends on the OP, not me or you.
I included the Z77x D3H as it offers xfire/sli capabilities, should the OP wish to go dual card in the future.
It also offers an extra 2 6Gb sata connectors and esata.
But if he does`nt require any of these extras then the mobo he listed is more than adequate.

+1

Much better PSU has the ability to xfire say the 560 or 6950,7850 alongside IB CPUs, it's a great bargain if the OP is quick. With that power available I do think he was quite right to suggest the better SLI/Xfire capable mobo :)

how did you do that for future reference.
Did you just cut and past the url links

Also, if you don't want crossfire/SLI that OCZ is a great choice of PSU (I'm getting one tomorrow :p)

However, I see no reason to get the Gigabyte motherboard over this one:

Also just get the cheapest 1600Mhz RAM with reasonable timings:

You're mad to get the OCZ instead of the CM 700W. They are the same price no?

I may well get one of those OCZs as i may be dropping a mini-itx mobo in a millenium falcon toy. It being fully modular will come in handy for this....for a desktop rig i'd take the CM 700W PSU whilst he offer is good!

Sorry yeah that wasn't clear. I bought one because I wanted to try it and already have a CM one :p

While the offer is on (last day today?) it's great price for 700W (though its nearly 600W really :p).
