ive got xp on my computer but how do i burn it?

What do you mean? Create a CD copy of your Windows XP install so that you can boot up from it and install XP from scratch? Or an image of your current install to recover from?

Might help you made that into a proper sentence. Did you slip when typing and hit the caps lock?

A little bit more information would be good, what format is it in, just the files off an XP disc or an image file, e.g. ISO, Bin, etc.

G0dfather if its a iso or bin file just use nero burning rom

1. run nero burning rom
2. close the New Compilation window
3. recorder> burn image>
4. browse for the xp image file
5. set a speed & click the burn button

if you get an error popup just change the block size.

that's about, it good luck

I get what he means. He means that he has XP installed on his pc and he wants to be able to create a cd from the files on his hdd which will act as any normal xp installation disk. Am i right?

There is a way of doing this, however i'm not sure what programs/steps you need to take to do it.

Some OEM's dont bother to include the CD's. Some include software to generate a recovery CD, others dont even give you that.

You could always use Norton Ghost and make an image to restore the system with, or contact the PC manufacterer and ask/buy the oem media.

Pet hate of mine, OEM's that dont include a 'proper' XP install disk.

Dunno if its still true, but dell used to charge about £2 to have the OEM XP Media disk supplied with a new computer.
