"A ticket to Iron Maiden baby,
Come with me Monday (18/12) don't say maybe,
Listen to Iron Maiden baby with me"

:D Couldn't help the corny joke, I just got one of the last tickets

Hey I'm going on that day too, Sheffield for the win. What ticket do you have - I'm front standing :D :D

All they had left were seats at the back :(

Luckily it's not exactly the biggest arena in the world so I'll still be able to see :D

Heh very true. I went to see them last time they were in Sheffield - they were awesome then.

Me and a friend were really lucky last time - we went to buy tickets from the box office a couple of weeks before the performance date and all they had were rear seated, to be expected really... "Ah well, never mind", we think and we went to find a cash machine.

Returned 15 mins later and asked to buy the tickets and the woman behind the desk says they have just had 2 front seated tickets come available and do we want them instead? Ermmm yes! :D

Luckily I got one smack bang in the middle at the back, so I won't be straining my neck to see the stage.

I tried to get a ticket for Brum as it's easier for me to get to, but they sold out a loooong time ago

Really looking forward to the album and the tour. Just hope the album is better produced and mastered than dod.

I just remember looking at the dates on Eddie the Great... there's a huuuuuge chunk ('93-'99) where they did loads of songs without Bruce that don't appear on the greatest hits. I wonder why? :D

Congrats, seen them before and they were awesome.

I've got the Rock in Rio DVD, it looks truely amazing... and I know they're gonna be at least 10 gazallion times better for real :D

It amazes me that someone who is 18 would want to go to see Iron Maiden.
Surely its old dad rock music.
Thats like me wanting to go see the Glen Miller Orchestra.

But you just cant beat it for the music! There is absolutely nothing of such quality (imo) out today. Someone at work couldn't believe I like the Eagles just because I'm not in the 'correct age group' and couldn't believe that at the same time, I listen to things like Nine Inch Nails :D And a lot of people I know are very much more into the older rock style than modern rock.

I'm off to see Metallica in a couple of weeks too, they're almost as old but they still rock :p

The tickets just say "with special guests" but quite a few sites say that it is Trivium. Not really heard much of their stuff - I take it they aren't too good? Twas Funeral for a Friend last time - not bad live.

Well live ive never seen anyone who can touch em tbh. I'd rather some 18 year old kid was listening to Maiden than some of the crap 'in vogue' metal thats out there atm.

I saw Maiden at least 4 times when they were first starting supporting the likes of Judas Priest etc and then saw them several albums later when they were big.
I personally like to move with the times and I'm always playing something new on my Ipod.
Quite funny - I was out for a meal last week and I saw a young lad with a Trivium t-shirt on so I started a conversation with him while standing by the carvery.
His dad was way younger than me and then asked "You really do like that crap don't you?"
"Oh yeah, get with it grumpy or get back to your Phil Collins".
