I have had several ides on design features for gaming cases, but I am unsure of what to do next. I have come up with; a SSD mount, cable management method, case top that allows easy customisation and filter, water reservoir and a potential water cool method (that needs to be actually tested, but in peripheral it should get low temps of around 5 deg C for the water temp) all of which are unique from what I have seen in commercial cases and even any custom builds. I have mentally developed my designs to a point where my idea's (well the first 3 the last 2 are for hard core rigs) would be simple and cheep to produce and manufacture, but as I said what to do next?
See if this was BC (before children) I am so convinced that my designs are sound that I would go down the start up own business and develop them as a prototype, but this isn't BC and I cannot risk them not having, which is the reason why I'm trying this I want to provide for them better.
I doubt anyone who reads this can suggest any thing officially or unofficially, but I can hope for the best, that I have intrigued a manufacturer or one of the boffins in the OCUK tech labs, who think that my designs are worth a look to see, if what I have produced is as good as I claim. At worst I'm hoping for messages of encouragement, because as I said I really think they are very good.
All I would ask is an open mind and for my designs to be treated with respect, as I don't have the money to patient them.
I know this is a shot in the dark, but even a shot in the dark has to land somewhere.
Here's hoping it land on a sympathetic ear.

Build a working model out of your own poo (This is to cover the copyright/patents issues that might arise, you will be able to prove it's actually your own poop/design.) and then post it through Coolermasters or Corsairs letterbox. Good luck!

From what the OP has written, it doesn't look as if his ideas have really got past the design, or possibly drawing, stage.

As has already been said, for any company to show any interest in this project whatsoever they would certainly want to see some evidence of a practical, and possibly unique design, as well as estimated production costs.

Can you not at least start by preparing some 3D drawings, if you haven't done so already, in order to show that your ideas are at the very least feasible and workable?

First get you ideas out of your head and onto paper.
Make some detailed drawings.
Pros and cons of your design.
Build a prototype.
Test, review, amend design.
Finalise prototype.
Produce: pictures, photos, drawings, results, costs.
A unique selling proposition.
Sell it to someone...

Good luck!

^ This basically.

A mental idea is worthless, no proof that it actually does anything.

At the very least 3d render/Google sketch up to gauge any interest.

Make it yourself as a hobby. No need to raid the children's University fund unless your designs are prohibitively expensive.

Stop thinking of it as a money making business idea and see if it even works yourself first.
