I've had enough with Talktalk... For the last 18 months weve only been getting upto 1mb on an 8mb package, I know its a quoted 'Upto' figure and Free as were on Talk3.
Recently our exchange was finally upgraded and (even though I'm only 1km from the exchange) I'm lucky to get 2.6mb maby even 2.9mb at a push.
I think in installing all the new gizmo's in the exchange they knocked something and our voice line is now sounding crap!, and I can't access any 'Interactive' service on sky! (Gadget Show quiz etc..), I get 'Error Code 1' (or sometimes Error-106).
I've tried phoning and they keep promising to phone back and dont!!
I'm gonna try again tonight!!..
What I want to know is.. as we have a Sky TV package (were on a basic £18/month package which were going to upgrade to Sky+ next year!),
a) How do I go about cancelling my Talktalk package (including the phone) and switching over to Sky's 8mb 'freebee'?.. What do I need???...
b) Do I need to get talktalk to sort out the mess they've left my phone line in?, or will Sky sort that on switch over?
c) Is Sky any better than talktalk?...
I'm currently paying: £24/month (on average) to Talktalk (including Line rental) and £18/month to Sky... how much (including line rental) would the average 'upto-8mb' package from Sky be if I stay on the same TV package?...
Cheers Guys
Simon.
