I've never built a custom loop, know nothing please help

all blocks now days are within 1-2’c of each other

want a bet... the block in your photo the corsair one had my 5800x at 75c in games, the only change i made as a EK block that i was given and i dropped into the mid 60's.
the fins on that block are not in the right place for ryzen 5XXX CPU's.

if you compare the 2 cold plates the ek one as a much bigger aera with the cooling channels

Maybe it was a poor mount but who knows. Cant find a chart for AMD, but it does fine for me!

My 5900x doesn't get near 75c gaming tbh but have no desire to argue with you :)

Can if worms this guy's, you've really helped thank you

It is something that I have always meant to do but always stopped myself pulling the trigger at the "Pay Now" section

First one is always going to be the most expensive with buying tools that you may not have etc for bending tubing, pressure testing, etc. Same with fittings as you do not know what you are going to need until you have all the components in the case. I was always told (by liquid cooling veterans) to buy everything apart from fittings & tubing, assemble the rig in the case first then plan out the routing at least 3-4 times (drawing/writing down what you intend to do) just to make sure that not missed something & end up having to place another order for bits. Certainly not a normal build that can be put together in an hour or so (unless got everything pre-bent & happen to have got all the right fittings you need).
