The long running saga of me searching for a car has finally come to an end. Many many months of bloodshed from toiling between different requirements, different budgets, different choices and different cars are now over.

I have bought, via eBay, a 2000 BMW 330i Sport.

Interior IMHO is gorgeous. Bit OTT and too garish for some, but I love it.

So here's to me, and my newfound bankruptcy - cheers! :p

Glad you like the colour/interior because it's certainly helped get you a bargain :).
That's what I was thinking. I prefer it to the usual Silver paint/black leather seats ones you see, and it's cheaper because of it

Just about to leave to go and put £5k of cash in the bank, as the couple who own the car would prefer an electronic bank transfer.

I haven't even told my dad I've bought it yet :p

I have just telephoned my insurance company. At first it was "I'm afraid you have to be 21 for that vehicle, sir". A short while and contact with the central underwriting office and they returned an amendment quote of £392.40 with 8 of 12 months remaining. With some calculating the overall cost for the year, assuming I had the BMW from the start, would be a smidgen under £2,000 :)

Apparently the couple who own it have just been offered £8,500 for it, but will honour the auction at £7,800!

silversurfer, the car is standard with 231PS, 228hp. I've had no permanent car with RWD as of yet. The DSC will be staying firmly on :p

I like the exterior colour, but the seats would look better in that colour if they were suede or leather.

However what a bargain!
They are alcantara (Which is basically suede) electrically operated heated memory seats :)

I think that maybe they look cloth in the pictures as, other than a bit of wear on the driver's and passenger bolsters, they are very clean.

I'm 19 :)

And I'm the Data Integration Officer (Recently promoted!) for an Automotive Research organisation.

And it's a 330i (saloon) rather than a coupe :p

I've just had a full inspection on the car by a BMW specialist, and he has confirmed that it has a minor issue atm, in that it needs new inlet and exhaust camshaft sensors. He'll do the job for £200 all in!

Dunno whether I should tell BMW to do it or not (Might ring and get a quote) but I'm over the moon!
