Ivy Bridge...How much?

What gets me is with higher temps, you do realise the noise of the fans coolling will increase. I have a overclocked Q6700 at 3 ghz - very quiet with a H50, i dont want to to buy into a new generation if i think it will be pushing it to get to 5

We now know the price and after a week of reviews we know what to expect, sample variations notwithstanding. Those who do actually need a new CPU will know what they're going to do, the rest can debate back and forth. In a month or so SB will be just a memory of old technology for some while the lucky ones will be busy learning how to work with Ivy.

Noise doesn't bother me much if at all..

Hi there

We shall be launching IvyBridge at introductory special pricing, were reversing the usual trend of a new product having a high price then dropping, we shall do the opposite, low price which shall go up.

As such 3770k is same price as 2700k, see our website and 3570k more or less same price as 2500k, these are retail and we shall only be selling retail to start with. :)

That sounds good, but the sceptic in me thinks this is because you know they won't sell well only having a slight increase over SB which would force the price down anyway. Or it could be just to beat competitors in the opening few days when most people will adopt.

This is the last piece of the pc puzzle that I need to finish my new rig off. £249.99 seems a fair price point for the 3770K, I'll no doubt wake up and be hammering refresh on that link on my phone, haha. How early is very early? :p

Well, as seen as my pc is for web surfing and gaming only, might as well go 3570k instead of 3770k as HT brings no gaming benefit

Will the in store prices be the same as online?
Was planning of sending my mother up on Monday :P Although i'm worried she might get a little freaked out and over run by even geekier people ;)
