Well, since when has 4.5Ghz been a bad clock?

But this isnt a step change from SB - its the same logical architecture on a different design rule with a great big iGP. There are plenty of other things in the world to get upset about than the chance to buy the worlds most advanced 1+billion transistor CPU for only £160.I think with the increase of potential OC on air people saw from Nehalem to SB, people expected another increase, but instead they got a decrease, so people are upset.

I don't think we'll know until first of all we find out how the retail chips do and then after some time get a feeling for just how many people have managed to get good 24/7 clocks. To me something over 4 at stock volts would be 'good'.
If hardly anyone ends up overclocking then the SB supporters can say 'I told you so' but its too early to call. Anyway, I don't really know how good SB was on average across many chips - but that's a true comparison for me.
What air coolers are people planning on using?

I've seen a £30 diff on the web between 3770 and 3770K. Thats a bit cheeky!
