Are there any available yet? I've been looking at getting a nice powerful ITX machine going rather than a tower but decided to wait for the IB processors to come out. I'm a bit out of the tech but understand they need Z77 boards? The current boards are all H67's?

Thanks.

There are but OcUK doesn't have them yet.

This one is looking very good Asus P8Z77-I Deluxe, here is a review. But he hasn't really go into overclocking on the board. It's quite expensive though, you're looking at around £150 for that particular board.

There is this Zotac coming out, but I don't think it's available at the moment.

I've seen five so far:

- Asrock Z77E-ITX
- Intel DH77DF
- Asus P8H77-I
- Asus P8Z77-I
- Zotac H77-ITX

There's also an EVGA "enthusiast" board in the works.

Nice Tute, I expect to see detailed pictures very soon. Ordered an Asus P8Z77-I Deluxe but no idea when it is arriving. Hope its soon as I am stuck on my HTPC as I already sold my GA-H67N-USB3. Have heard it may be in the country on the 14th so will be arriving at the same time as my R-Pi woop!

I've been watching how peeps with the Asrock have been getting on with it at a few different sites.
Doesn't have the power phases of the Asus ofc, but it doesn't seem to be hampering it's overclocking prowess.

I have a nice 2700k here that does 4.8ghz @ 1.3v and 5.1ghz @ 1.415v, it's not worth swapping for Ivy.
I'll be happy with a 4.6ghz overclock in the cramped case this is going into.

I've ordered an Asrock for a nice little build I have in the pipe, should be here Tuesday.
I'll hopefully be done with the case mods and psu cable shortening by then and have it ready to set up.

Heh, I don't see what you want pictures of! It's an Intel board, so it'll sit in the case, run the CPU at stock and stock only, and the memory at stock and stock only.

BIOS options will be your usual affair, a few token things to change that make absolutely no difference at all, and that'll be it.

Sorry for the cynicism, but that's just what Intel mITX boards are all about.

Dont care, it all turns me on. Now show me those sexy sexy naked caps! :p

It lives!

I'm contemplating returning the board though. With the DH57JG, the USB ports were really niggly, sometimes refusing to recognise certain peripherals.

Well, i'm glad to say Intel have made the problem worse. Booting with anything in the USB3 ports makes it refuse to start. It also randomly drops the keyboard and mouse in Windows.

Intel need a ****ing good slap. What the hell are they trying to pull?

Tute mate, what you spend your money on is entirely your business.
But I've never understood why on earth you keep buying Intel boards.

The days of "you buy an Intel board for stability" have been over for years, and they've always been plagued with compatibility issues in every form factor.

Send it back, can't be long now for branded H77 without Intels issues and niggles.

To be fair, this is only my second one. But it's going back, I've had enough. It won't boot at all with my simple USB2 external DVDRW drive plugged in.

When I disconnect it, it whizzes into Windows quickly and easily.

I'm quite frankly not giving Intel £112 to do this to me, they can sling their hook.

[Edit] Looks like i'm stuck with it.

In all instances your product needs to be complete and in 'as new' condition e.g. if you have opened the box to examine the product you need to have done so without damaging or marking the product or packaging. It must not have been used or installed. It should be returned with the original box, packing and accessories you received with it.

Tute, it sounds like your machine is simply trying to boot to the DVD drive, this occurs on most USB devices when they are plugged in during POST. Can you not turn off boot to USB devices in BIOS?
