Hello all, I have had strange problems setting my overclock on my ivy bridge 3770K
Basically the process is very simplistic if you are trying to achieve around the 4.5ghzs mark like I have but when I get on to desktop and check my speeds and temp with realtemp it shows 4.500 for a second then knocks down to 3.500
I have stopped using the real temp as it appears to have issues with this processor:eek:
I have started using cpuid and the overclock remains :)
Anyone else had this strange issue?????
Cheers all

re:

you sure your not just seeing the effects of speedstep and thats normal?
I initially thought it was a possibility but I put it under stress and it stuck at 3.5ghz which was you know is the default clock speed.

I was wondering if you have tried the AI suite ????
The reason I ask is that it does not appear to have the auto tune button which I have noticed it should have while surfing the net:confused:
Does yours have this feature?
Cheers

re:

Have you turned off ALL the power saving settings?

Hello there was a couple of power saving settings that were still enabled so I disabled them and you were correct that was the issue:)

Thanks
