ivybridge ram?

Hi folks,
just a quick question,im planning on upgrading to a ivy cpu and board when available.
Will the current gen of ddr3 ram be ok for this? Im thinking 1600 speed?

Im sure it will be,but any advice or knowledge will help,as im thinking of buying some now rather then later.

The RAM will still work and as far as I know the same rules apply as current Sandybridge chips, 1600Mhz with modest timings is all you need, as faster RAM doesnt have much affect on performance.

Yes current memory will be fine but no doubt there will be ivybridge certified or branded memory available soon after launch. Like what happened when sandybridge was released.
