iweb ftp domain?

Hi,

I have just done a little design on iweb 09 on my new imac 27" and have uploaded it to my hosting. Its succesfully uploaded but the problem is this...

If my web address was say www.macs4u.co.uk the website. When i type that in now it goes to www.macs4u.co.uk/www.macs4u.co.uk/welcome.html and shows that site i just uploaded

Why cant i just have it uploaded to my server so when i type in www.macs4u.co.uk it stays as that and show the website??

P.S www.macs4u.co.uk isnt the actual website domain i was using that as an example.

Been there, done that. There's no simple solution. I spent quite a long time searching.

This is absolutely mental then? One of the draws to apple was for iweb as it looked so polished. For anybody who wants a professional looking site they are screwed?

I was frustrated about it to start but it makes stuff all difference really. It's just the address bar and nobody has even commented about it on my site.

From what I understand it's because the way iWeb works is that it allows you to host multiple sites on one domain.

There's a manual solution on the Apple discussion thread I linked to involving publishing to a local folder and then uploading manually with something like Cyberduck if you're that bothered about it.
