Hi there,

I know this sounds so basic, but I can't find out how to make bullet points in iWork :s... just for a basic list of items.

By the way, is iWork the best equivalent to MS Office?

hey, on my Pages (iWork's word) I used the dropdown to the left of the dropdown with a lower case a on it, under the bit that says Sections ... and select body bullet.

hope you can find it! :)

as far if its the best equivalent to MS Office, could you not just use Office for Mac? I do :)

cheers

in my opinion, MS Office for Mac is the only 'equivalent' to MS Office. It's an excellent suite of applications, and I hate when it gets a bad rap just because it's MS software. Sure, it's expensive but it's very worth the money imho - as far as NeoOffice and OpenOffice go, they really don't compare when it comes to stability, interface and features. I have to use OpenOffice at work and it just doesn't compare to MS Office. Obviously, for free it's pretty good, but if you can get your grubby mitts on the MS version then there's really no need to consider the others.

iWork is a good alternative to MS Office, but I still don't think it's as good. I use iWork because it's cheaper and it's not often that I actually need Word Processors or Spreadsheets and I can't stand things like Keynote and Powerpoint!

Seconded, however, I actually use iwork for the majority of my work at home - and even though this release builds on previous versions enormously - it is still nowhere near as fully featured as Office for Mac.

I think the appeal of this particular suite of programs is that it does offer a viable alternative.

Neo Office and Open Office are great - but as mentioned nowhere near as stable as either Office for Mac or iWork.

If you've bought iWork then you're not going to listen, but it's worth trying NeoOffice.

I've found it very powerful for the price (free :D) and it can open most/if not all Word formats, making cross platform work a breeze.

I've found NeoOffice 2.2.2 rock solid on Leopard 10.5.1 :)
