Been using Office previously, even at work I use it on a daily basis, So that points me towards Office since it's something I know. On the otherhand iWork is cheaper and looks pretty nice, How have people found it? Which do they use? What are the pro's and con's for both peices of Software (Mac Side)

I guess it may come down to personal preference as I am sure both are surfficicent for my useage.

Think the general answer would be if you are often sharing files with other people running Office, then Office is the way to go. You can get some compatibility issues crop up from time to time or things look different between the two when using iWork.

Otherwise iWork which I used is quite nice and easy to use though I only used it for budget planning etc myself and didn't have to edit/share my documents with others

Ditto here, pretty much exactly the same, I use iWork at home for knocking things up quickly and making them look nice.

At work, it's MS Office (Excel mainly).

I have both iWork and Office 2011 and tbh it's hard to choose between them. iWork is nice to use and has some nice features, although it can be a bit awkward to use initially if you've been used to Office on Windows. Office on Mac is excellent in my opinion.

The main disadvantage with Office is the cost in comparison to iWork, at least if you don't have access to an employee purchase program or student discount.

Personally I use iWork for occasional small tasks, such as writing my CV or similar short/simple documents etc. But for any serious document or spreadsheet I use Office as I just find it easier to work with, although when I say serious it's still for personal/hobby use as I don't do any work on my personal systems.

I did get Office via EPP though for £8.95, I think if I had to pay full retail or even student price I'd just stick with iWork unless I was using it for business purposes.

We have both. I like iWork, and my wife like Office... That and I managed to get Office 2011 or whatever on a deal through work for like £10.

As everybody else has said really. If you have to share documents then Office is really your only choice. That said, I use Pages primarily and think it is fantastic, it really is a proper word processor that works.

Cheers for the feedback, I will probably go for Office since I have used for Mac before, Not quite sure If I am aloud to say this here.. but would I be correct in thinking everyone has bought the copy legit?

I have and use iWork, it's ok, I'd probably use Office if I had it but iWork isn't a bad productive suite just takes a little getting used too if coming from Office.

I'd say so as it only costs ~£60.

I own, and use both - no real preference between them. Keynote is superior to powerpoint however.
