J5 GLF Reg

Just watched Autotrader and some guy was selling his Golf MK1 convertable. It came with the above reg, and Mike Brewer said he got a cracking deal on the plate as it is rare etc. £500.00. Surely the plate is worth a hell of a lot more than that. Mike took it off the punters hand too.

What's so special about the plate? And who is Mike Brewer?

mike brewer's a bit of a plamf. he met my mate with a v8'd capri once and asked him if it was a 2Litre in it, even though the bonnet was open and the big shiny v8 was there for all to see.

how can a plate be rare, i thought the word would be unique? but even then its a given. i suppose the plate kinda spells golf but i wouldnt have said it was all that special

DVLA new prices put a Letter / Number GLF plate at 399 to 900 new and with reg transfers.

So thats something like B5 GLF is only 399, rare, my bottom!
