I was after a VNC program and the two main choices seemed to be Mocha and Jaadu...
Although i think Jaadu is overpriced, it is a much more polished app than Mocha VNC and i'm a sucker for attention to detail so bought it...
What i wanna ask is relating to the connections, when you first start it up it detects my Macbook (i'm assuming it is detecting the screen sharing option?) - anyway, this only works when on a lan which is to be expected so i created an external version which works through no-ip (as i am on a dynamic ip), and it works well...
My question is, when i'm at home, both connections seem the same speed implying that the connection routed through the internet is no slower than directly from the LAN, this isn't a problem i'm just genuinely interested as to why this is so... could anybody shed any light?
(of course when out and about, the connection is as good as the area i'm in, 3g is tolerable, edge is poo etc...)
